Without a healthy planet, there can be no healthy people. That’s why AOK Baden-Württemberg is fully committed to greater sustainability. Now, the goal is to translate this commitment into a long-term communication platform.

With gesundegesellschaft.de, AOK Baden-Württemberg creates a central content hub that brings together and communicates all sustainability activities. The platform makes visible what often remains unseen: the inseparable link between environmental and human health.
The goal: To turn the abstract concept of "planetary health" into concrete, understandable calls to action for a healthier society.


To launch the content hub, AOK makes a powerful statement: Five giant posters not only draw attention to the company’s sustainability efforts – they are part of the solution themselves. The billboard surfaces are equipped with the innovative material theBreath, which actively filters pollutants from the air. Over the course of four weeks, in Stuttgart and Mannheim, the average pollutant load equivalent to that of over 12,000 diesel and 30,000 gasoline vehicles is removed from the city air. The spectacular out-of-home activation is supported by a comprehensive cross-media ecosystem: digital OOH displays, online films, and targeted digital measures such as display and native ads amplify the message.
