Evonik aims to increase international brand awareness among B2B decision-makers in key target industries. What was needed was a smart creative approach to effectively highlight the core of its performance-driven partnerships.

Campaign

Under the motto “Take Action,” Evonik activates its Borussia Dortmund sponsorship around the current Champions League with a bold yet humorous digital campaign. At the heart of the campaign is the shared set of values between the company and the club.

At the heart of the campaign is a 43-second film featuring BVB players Emre Can, Sébastien Haller, Mats Hummels, Gregor Kobel, and Marco Reus, as well as BVB women’s player Marah Abu-Tayeh and Evonik employees. The voice-over is provided by BVB player Danelle Tan.

The activation, developed by KNSK with a digital-first approach, targets multiple international audiences – including sports-minded prospects and existing customers, potential talent, and Evonik’s own employees. The campaign includes the online video in various lengths and formats, a making-of, five still-image assets, social media creatives, and a dedicated landing page showcasing the social impact efforts of both partners.
